Remember the definition of an Equation? It can be found here. Linear Equations are of a certain type where the variables are only raised to a power of 1 (i.e. x, 4a, 2b, etc, but NOT x², 4b³, etc). In year 8 we will only be dealing with Linear Equations with one variable.
